Have the option of having track up map (rather than north up)
While cycling, having a map that always shows north up is not very convenient. Especially when cycling south :-)
Having the option of having track up would be great!
And even when the mod shows north up, having an arrow showing our direction would be a plus!

Directions
Finding directions, whether through the looking glass or the wiggly directions button, is overly tedious and frustrating. Makes one wonder if the developers even use this
app???12 votesThe new version of the app has a much simplified way to get directions. Hope you like it!

Planning tool
It would be great to add a planning tool for bike rides along with it. An application to use on your computer for easy planning could be useful too.
My suggestion is you would either be able to tap the screen and that way progressively build up your route or just tap in the start and and point (start point could be current location) and let the app calculate the route between. If you have the data one might even be able to choose between shortest or scenic or least traffic or something.
4 votesWell, it took awhile, but the latest version of the app (2.0) has a ride planning / directions tool. You can try out routes between 2 or more points on the map, by tapping just like you suggested. :)

On my iPhone 6 & iOS 9.0.2, voice indications are REALLY slow.
I suspect this is a bug. Anyone else with the same problem?
1 voteThis was fixed in version 5.1.1 of the app.

State Park Trail East side of Lake St. Mary's
There is a very nice state park bicycle multi use trail on the east side of Lake St. Mary's and it does not show up as a map on the system what would it take to get it to display as a bike trail? Lake St. Mary's in western Ohio
1 voteThanks for the suggestion! I’ve added the trail to the map data, and it should show up in the Bike Maps app in a couple of days.

Multiple destinations
I see how to place multiple pins and put a route together and that's great- but it assumes I know where my points are going to be. In a strange town (which is often) I never know where they are going to be.
It appears I can only search and store one address at a time, and when I try to search a second address the first one vanishes requiring me to make a separate note (on paper?) and repeat until all my addresses are located (memorized) so when I hit the directions button I can manually pin in all…
7 votesThe new version of the app has a much more powerful directions, that includes the ability to search for and select multiple destinations. Hope you like it!

Give version 2.0 of the app a try… I think you’ll like the new ride list. :)

Disable Screen Lock option
It would be great to have the option to have the app temporarily disable the phone's auto screen lock. This avoids having to unlock while riding.
2 votesGood idea! We’ve added this feature to version 2.0 of the app, with a new setting called “Full Bright Screen”.

Auto-brightness off option
My handlebar-mounted iPhone case (Biologic) dims the camera input, confusing Auto Brightness. Having the app handle this would be nice.

We’ve improved the legend in the latest version of the app (2.0). You can see the map legend by tapping the “i” button in the bottom right corner.

Off line maps
Seeing this app I already see uses to go cycle to other countries. Data costs could get pretty high that way though so what about you add in app purchases of offline maps per country? That way people could buy the map of the country their biking in and use the app without the expense of data roaming.
3 votesThanks for the suggestion! We aren’t able to download full offline maps yet, but the new version of the app (1.1) has an option to increase the size of saved maps. You could use that to preview routes in other countries and avoid those roaming data changes.
